I identify as a queer, cisgender female, Caucasian clinical social worker/therapist and have worked with many clients who identify on the queer/trans spectrums. Many of my adult clients from these communities have come to me so that they can feel comfortable being their full self with a therapist even if they aren’t necessarily coming to therapy specifically to discuss their gender identity or sexual orientation. I am also experienced in helping families gain comfort and acceptance for their queer/trans or gender exploring children. I have a special interest in how trauma affects the body and the lifespan and have received training in somatic interventions to help restore equilibrium in functioning.
