I self identify as a queer, cisgender female, Caucasian clinical social worker/therapist and have worked with many clients who identify on the queer/trans spectrums. Many of my clients from these communities have come to me so that they can feel comfortable being their full self with a therapist even if they aren’t necessarily coming to therapy specifically to discuss their gender identity or sexual orientation. I am experienced in helping families gain comfort and acceptance for their queer/trans or gender exploring children. I have a special interest in how trauma affects the body and the lifespan and have received training in somatic interventions to help restore equilibrium in functioning. I have also completed various educational courses on being an LGBTQ-supportive therapist. I currently practice part-time in a community health center.
