I am currently a member of WPATH (The World Professional Association for Transgender Health). I have attended national and local trainings addressing the mental health needs of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender population, as well being invited as an expert presenter to local colleges, organizations, and churches. In 2009 I was a part of the review committee for the “Competencies for Counseling Transgender Clients” as established by the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC). I provide mentoring and supervision to master’s level counseling students in the area of counseling LGBT clients. I am listed as a recommended therapist by the Gender Identity Center (located in Denver, CO). I maintain an education and resources website for the transgender and gender non-conforming population, which can be found at http://darahoffmanfox.com.
I myself identify as queer and nonbinary.
