I have worked with and advocated for the LGBT patient population throughout my training in healthcare, specifically at the PRIDE Clinic in Cleveland, OH, during my time at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. While at Indiana University School of Medicine, I was part of a board that worked toward establishing a Transgender Clinic at Eskenazi Health. I also completed and presented my research findings, entitled: “Obstetrician/ Gynecologists’ Attitudes, Knowledge and Caring of Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (LBT) Patients; How are we doing?” at a meeting of ACOG (American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology) in Toronto, Canada in 2016. I am currently a staff OB/Gyn at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, and I travel to several regional offices in the area.
