I am committed to health equity for all and especially at the intersection of identities. I am the Chair for the Committee on Native American Child Health for the American Academy of Pediatrics. I am an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Pediatrics. I sit on our Advisory Board for the Gender Clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I have helped to write and edit numerous statements from the AAP pertaining to the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ youth and families. In the recent years we have worked as a clinic to institute preferred names, pronouns, and gender markers. I attend Ingersoll meetings when I can, but count myself lucky to be able to call on my colleagues when a youth or family need more help then I can offer. And most importantly I have the honor of taking care of many youth and parents in my practice.
