For over 20 years, OIC has been providing exceptional and innovative medical care to the LGBTQ community. We provide comprehensive LGBTQ care such as primary care, PrEP, PeP, screening and/or treatment, for HIV, hepatitis other sexually transmitted diseases. The readers of our local LGBTQ newspaper, the Watermark, have honored our Medical Director, Dr. Edwin DeJesus, as their “Favorite Local Health Care Professional” for 5 years in a row. In addition, OIC was voted 2nd or 3rd in numerous other categories by Watermark readers. Everyone – from our doctors to our Front Desk Team – either identify as LGBTQ or an ally. We practice cultural humility daily to create a safe, welcoming environment for our LGBTQ community.
LGBTQ Associations:
City of Orlando’s LGBTQ Safe Place Initiative – OIC has participated since its inception, providing a safe space for individuals to report a crime
One Orlando Alliance – OIC is one of the founding members. The Alliance is the largest LGBTQ group including over 30 organizations focusing on issues that impact the LGBTQ community.
MBA Orlando – The Metropolitan Business Association is the LGBT Chamber of Commerce dedicated to the business equality movement in the Greater Orlando area and beyond.
Central Florida HIV Planning Council – The Planning Council is responsible for planning HIV care and prevention in Central Florida. It’s a federally legislated body through Ryan White. HIV disproportionally impacts the LGBTQ community and OIC is the only private business that participates
