Capitol Hill Medical is an LGBTQ focused clinic that exists to serve the unique medical needs of the Seattle LGBTQ community. We are LGBTQ doctors and LGBTQ clinicians in Seattle offering primary care services to gays, lesbians, bisexuals, trans,* and queer patients. We are also certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as HIV specialists, and offer hormone therapy to our trans* patients who are in transition.
Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of our patients by offering the highest quality evidence-based medicine in a setting of open acceptance. We feel that the best medicine is practiced when patients feel comfortable coming out of all of their closets – there are usually more than one. Gay, Lesbian, Trans*, and those patients in between often have significant distrust of the medical community – the result of an inability to relate to their providers, or the fear of being judged. Finding an LGBTQ doctor in Seattle can also be a challenge, as our friends and loved ones have told us.
Run by LGBTQ doctors and providers, with the friendliest staff around, our mission is to create a clinic where you feel safe, celebrated, and healthy. Ultimately, we believe that compassion begins with self-identity, and have founded our clinic to model acceptance, open and honest healthcare, and to provide answers for the unique issues that we face in our lives.
(The use of Trans* on this website is intended to include multiple transgender, intersex, and gender-nonconforming identities.)
