OutCare Health has partnered with the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis to educate providers, organizations, and the public about the benefits, risks, availability, and accessibility of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). A survey conducted in October 2016 found that of 211 healthcare providers sampled across Indiana, 49% were completely unaware of PrEP. Of this group, 79% provided care in specialties that more commonly prescribe PrEP, such as emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, nurse practitioner, OB/GYN, and pediatrics.
