I have been a board-certified surgical professional for over 20 years in healthcare. I have an extensive background and knowledge base of all surgical procedures related to Dermatology, Plastics & Reconstructive, General, and Urology. Over the course of my career, I have provided direct patient care to more than 10,000 patients. My patient population includes children, teens and adults. I have cared for patients from all walks of life and have worked with every skin tone from Fitzpatrick Scale 1 to 6. As a surgical assistant for the last 9 years, it has been my job to not only act as the “Assistant Surgeon” in those procedures, but to also help perform the “Closing” part of the surgery. This means I am tasked with implanting stitches on each patient after their surgery is complete. I have worked with some of the best plastic surgeons in the Midwest and have been taught advanced wound closure techniques that result in the most minimalistic seamless appearance of scars possible. I have been nationally recognized for my POC advocacy and have used my platform to speak about DEI topics in healthcare.
I have knowledge and experience in the processes of gender-affirming surgery. I’m familiar with the journey these patients are on, and have seen the surgical scars it can leave behind. I understand the support and resources they require while seeking to regain wholeness. I aim to be a conduit between the surgical side of their journey and the postoperative side by offering Areola Restoration(3D Nipple Tattoo) and Scar Camouflage. I pride myself on being a hybrid provider who exudes empathy and compassion and can provide cohesive care for the LGBTQ+ community.
I have attended numerous trainings on cultural sensitivity and have taken courses at the Jody Stoski Academy Paramedical Tattoo Academy such as Areola Tattoo and how this service can benefit anyone who has experienced loss of pigment, asymmetry concerns, or just needs color correction in their areola/nipple area. I’m also certified in Color Theory which is important when working with various skin undertones and mixing unique color blends to match the client. As a woman of color, I can empathize with anyone who has experienced any biases or discrimination. My studio is an all-inclusive environment and I would be honored to help anyone seeking paramedical tattoo services in and around the Atlanta Metro area. If you don’t live in Georgia don’t worry, I’m here for you as well if you can make the trip.
