Dr. Daniel Simon, (he/his/him) is cofounder and co-CEO of Facialteam, a multidisciplinary team specialized exclusively in facial gender affirming surgery.
Since 2008, he has dedicated his practice to trans women, femmes and nonbinary people who are considering facial feminizing surgical procedures.
He believes that trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming people have the same right to high quality and inclusive healthcare.
Facialteam received the Best SME Award from the Malaga Chamber of Commerce in 2022.
The clinic provides gender neutral bathrooms and staff receive sensitivity training. Facialteam is an inclusive workplace, where people of the LGBT community are welcomed and encouraged.
All surgeons on the team are full WPATH members, in addition to the Oral & Maxillofacial Professional Associations in Spain and Europe.
The Research and Education Department was an active part behind the creation of the Wpath’s Standards of Care, version 8, released in 2022 and have published over 25 scientific articles in leading medical journals on the topic of facial gender surgery. They also offer lines of professional development for specialists in trans health, with recurring workshops and a Surgeons FFS Training Program.
