Heidi Selzler-Echola, APRN, WHNP-BC, is a board-certified women’s and gender health nurse practitioner licensed in both North Dakota and Minnesota. She currently serves patients at Canopy Medical Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. Heidi graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and anthropology and a minor in women’s and gender studies. She then attended the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, obtaining her master’s degree in nursing. ​Heidi has spent most of her nursing career working in women’s reproductive health but has also worked in family practice, long-term care, LBGTQ+ care, and in-patient psychiatric care. Her passions involve reproductive justice, public health, and addressing gaps in access to care.

Heidi is the Medical Director of Canopy Medical Clinic, located in Fargo, ND. Canopy Medical Clinic is a reproductive and sexual health care center that welcomes patients seeking compassionate, confidential, and customized assessments, diagnoses, and treatment. We strive to provide radically inclusive, gender-affirming, sex-positive care possible. The Canopy Medical Clinic team is committed to helping LBGTQIA+ individuals and allies get necessary care without leaving the community. The practice offers in-person and telehealth appointments. The team has the experience and compassion to support patients when it comes to transgender care. They also partner with the Ryan White federal program for mental health and support group therapy programs. We aim to advance health equity for women and LGBTQ+ individuals through advocacy, outreach, and education.
