As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my career has focused on assisting clients of all ages to build the skills necessary to meet their goals. My primary focus has been treating anxiety, addiction, ADHD, and depressive disorders. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology from William Paterson University and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. I have experience treating adults and adolescents in inpatient hospitals, intensive outpatients, individual outpatient therapy, and school-based mental health. In addition, I am a Licensed Chemical and Drug Counselor.
Therapy is an experience that should be tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Throughout my practice, I have utilized an approach based in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT). For those that require a more structured approach to counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness can be an essential way to gain control of negative thoughts and build coping skills to work through emotions. By providing a warm and calming atmosphere, my goal is to help my clients reach their true potential, and know that they are not alone in this journey.
I am an LGBQIA and Trans Affirming Therapist. I pride myself on continually learning and attending specific courses related to working with clients in the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I am attending the OutCare training in cultural competency in October.
