LGBTQIA experience with this population spans my entire professional career from gay/lesbian/bisexual teens when I first began practicing to a few transgender teens as well. In some cases, I was able to assist in transgender experience of discrimination such as the wearing of appropriate clothing that matched their feelings about themselves in rural areas where they were being made to follow certain dress code rules that remained non transgender friendly and discriminatory. I self-identify as a bisexual woman.
