With extensive experience in organizational leadership, sexual health, and social work, I bring a rich background in non-clinical leadership and advocacy to my role as a therapy trainee. My work is profoundly influenced by my experiences in the non-profit and political sectors. My approach with clients is grounded in my understanding of complex systemic issues and my expertise in navigating large systems to drive change.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Denver. Additionally, I have completed the Sexual Health Certificate Program from the University of Michigan, which provides over 150 hours of continuing education focused on sexuality, relationships, and cultural competency.
My approach is deeply rooted in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their identities and experiences. As a queer therapist, I strive to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care, ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and validated. I believe in the importance of cultural humility and am committed to continually learning and adapting my approach to meet the diverse needs of my clients.
I am passionate about supporting individuals facing challenges around sex, sexual health, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. I help clients navigate life transitions, such as relationship changes and enhancing their intimate relationships. I also have experience working with sex workers, offering informed and respectful care that acknowledges their experiences, whether empowering, neutral, or harmful.
By integrating clinical expertise with a macro-level understanding of systemic complexities, I strive to drive positive change both within and beyond the therapy room. I believe individuals are the experts in their own lives, and I’m here to support and empower their journeys. If this approach resonates with you, I welcome you to connect with me.
