Having lived and worked in the SF Bay Area for much of my life, I have had the privilege of working with many LGBTQ+ clients. As a result, I feel very comfortable working with LGBTQ+ clients. When I moved to the Antelope Valley, I encountered many young people who were rejected, mis-gendered, and bullied because of their sexual orientation or gender identification. I provide a safe place for people to express their sadness, anger, and frustration about the homophobia and transphobia that exists in the world, as well as encouraging self-empowering coping strategies. I’ve taken many classes through the Zur Institute about LGBTQ+ competence in psychotherapy, as well as earlier training in San Francisco City and County. I offer psychotherapy, including clinical hypnosis and EMDR therapy, virtually in California and Florida.
