I am a Queer, Gender Non Conforming ,social worker, therapist and sex educator. I have worked in the field for helping for over 25+ years. I currently hold a faculty position at the University of Illinois/Jane Addams College of Social Work and hold an adjunct position at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
My therapy practice is focused on a client-centered approach that is pragmatic in nature. The model I use is strength based and holistic in that I try to support and nurture the areas of health within an individual. Recognizing that everyone approaches treatment based on her or his own unique life experiences. I often use humor . I am very comfortable working with people who present with a wide range of needs and concerns. My past experience includes working with individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community , as well as high risk populations such as individuals with substance use disorders which many clinicians aren’t comfortable treating. Much of my focus is on the Queer community promoting a sex and pleasure positive approach to therapy. I have extensive knowledge in Kink, Poly relationships and overall sexual wellness.
