Chronic illness/disability, LGBTQ+ clients, transgender youth and young adults, anxiety, trauma
The particular difficulties of living in our society as an LGBTQ+ person have been a concern of mine since I was old enough to understand that there was such a thing as sexuality or gender. I went into the field of counseling with helping these populations in mind. For 5 years I volunteered with an LGBTQ+ educational and advocacy organization. I have established working relationships with Fenway Community Health Center, the GeMS clinic at Boston Children’s Health Center and local private practice doctors who are LGBTQ+ friendly including an endocrinologist who works with people during the medical transition process.
