Melissa has serious communication issues. The process of setting up an appointment is fine, but three times in my 10 months of being her patient, she has completely no-showed appointments with no prior communication. She had excuses for the first two times, both which were understandable, but the absence of any form of notice, leaving me waiting for an hour+ waiting for her online counseling office to open, is completely unacceptable. She is also extremely low at responding to emails – some delay is understandable, but there have been occurrences with multiple weeks between replies. When she did show up to appointments, she was attentive and helpful, and I appreciate her time listening to my needs, asking important questions, and offering letters for gender affirming care, but I simply cannot recommend any professional is unable to meet the bare minimum in terms of promptness and communication.
