I am a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and a National Certified Counselor. I am a professional member of the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities, a subdivision of the American Counseling Association, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. I am engaged in academic research and ongoing training & professional development around the issues, experiences, and needs of gender diverse individuals. My research, advocacy, and work around gender affirming needs and care have been featured locally and nationally in various conferences, seminars, and workshops. I teach graduate level courses in human sexuality for a clinical mental health counseling program. I have been working with transgender and genderqueer individuals for six years, and facilitate a local consultation group for healthcare professionals who work with Gender, Sexual, and Romantically Expansive clients. I attend to advocacy work in my community, including the creation of a school-based Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), school wide trainings for faculty and staff, and advocated alongside high school students for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ issues in the sexual and reproductive health curriculum. I also have the personal, lived experience of being a queer, transgender non-binary therapist who has undergone therapy and gender-affirming procedures related to medical transition.
