I identify heavily as an ally and a small part of the LGBTQIA+ community. It has always been my desire as a clinician to create safe, open spaces in my practice for all marginalized communities. In my 10 years as a therapist I have worked with various members of the community in individual, couple, and group therapy settings on a variety of issues: anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflicts, friendship dynamics, gender dysphoria, exploration of identity, trauma related to discriminatory practices, ethical non-monogamy/open/poly relationships and many others. In my education and training to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I learned to make connections between the impacts of the systems we are all part of and how they influence our individual lives. Community and connection are foundational to a healthy mental state as well as overall wellness. My objective is to make sure that you feel comfortable and safe enough to process any experience or challenge, while providing the necessary coping skills to navigate your specific needs. I recognize how difficult it can be to reach out for help of any sort, so I commend you for even getting to this point. “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” ― David Richo
