Hi, I’m Dr. SG Gettman, ND (they/them), a licensed naturopathic doctor serving patients in Arizona, Vermont, and Washington, DC.
My virtual practice, conducted on a secure HIPAA-compliant platform, primarily focuses on immune health (including Long-COVID) and mental health.
Moreover, my expertise extends to effectively addressing and finding solutions for a range of additional health concerns, including but not limited to pelvic pain, recurrent UTIs, vector-borne illnesses such as Lyme Disease, GI distress (including nausea, constipation/diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating), seasonal and food allergies, generalized fatigue, burnout, LGBTQ+ Health (offering HRT exclusively for AZ patients), previous alcohol use, sober curiosity, and comprehensive wellness and preventive care.
I employ a holistic approach, integrating various modalities such as botanical preparations, nutraceuticals, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle modifications, mindfulness techniques, and pharmaceuticals where necessary.
New patient appointments are 90 minutes long, to allow you ample time to share your entire health journey and uncover the root causes of your concerns. I am committed to understanding you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. I believe in providing realistic and grounded recommendations in pursuit of YOUR goals, and I won’t recommend to you anything I wouldn’t do or haven’t already tried.
In my commitment to equitable healthcare access, I utilize an income-based charging system, ensuring fair compensation for my expertise and time.
I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from Sonoran University of Health Sciences, formerly known as Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Corcoran College of Art & Design, now part of George Washington University. I am a proud alumna of Emma Willard School.
I have pursued specialized training in pelvic pain conditions, having recently completed the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) Pelvic Pain 6-month course. Furthermore, I have undergone numerous gemstone therapy trainings with Dr. Sara Hazel and have earned a 200-hour yoga teacher certificate in Baptiste Power Yoga.
I have significant experience in working with the LGBT+ community, specifically in supporting transgender folks in transition using a trauma-informed and informed-consent model. I am actively involved as an ongoing volunteer with Trans Queer Pueblo (TQP), where I serve as an attending physician and preceptor in their free medical clinic.
Have questions about how I might be able to help, naturopathic medicine, or my practice? I offer free 15-minute consults.
