he/him Virginia Sunny Allison, a recent Hollins University graduate, joins the OutCare team as an LGBTQ+ Health Advocacy Scholar sponsored by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Sunny is a passionate advocate with a dual degree in public health and sociology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Throughout his time at Hollins, Sunny actively participated in the public health club and dedicated themself as a guide for first-year students, specifically those who identify as first-generation and low-income. Hailing from Bryan, Texas, Sunny has personally encountered discrimination within the healthcare system due to her intersectional identity. These experiences, coupled with a deep fascination with social institutions, fuel Sunny's unwavering commitment to dismantling oppressive systems and striving for improved health outcomes for all individuals.
