I am a professional counselor and PhD student in Counseling, where my clinical, research, and teaching work centers on identity, healing, and resilience in diverse communities. As a South Asian woman and survivor, my lived experience shapes my culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach to counseling. I specialize in working with clients navigating relational and attachment concerns, trauma, anxiety, and cross-cultural stressors, and I draw from integrative frameworks including emotion-focused, relational-cultural, and mindfulness-based therapies.
In my clinical work, I provide affirming services for LGBTQ+ clients, particularly those negotiating intersecting cultural, religious, and familial expectations. I have experience supporting clients in areas such as identity exploration, family acceptance, minority stress, intimate partner dynamics, and culturally embedded healing practices.
