Dr. Thiago Moulin is a highly skilled ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, refractive, and ocular surface surgery. With advanced fellowship training and a deep passion for restoring vision, Dr. Moulin is committed to helping patients not only see better but live better.
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Moulin earned his medical degree from the University of São Paulo, widely regarded as the top medical school in Latin America. He then moved to the United States to pursue ophthalmic research and data science, publishing several peer-reviewed articles that advanced the field. His dedication to clinical excellence led him to complete his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, where he received multiple honors, including The Doris and Harry Wexler Research Award and The Service Award.
Following residency, Dr. Moulin completed a competitive fellowship in cataract, refractive, and ocular surface surgery under esteemed surgeons Drs. Robert Weinstock and Neel Desai.
His surgical expertise includes advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs) to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and comprehensive management of ocular surface conditions such as pterygiums and dry eye disease.
Dr. Moulin combines compassionate, patient-centered care with cutting-edge surgical techniques and evidence-based medicine. Known for his warmth, thorough communication, and thoughtful approach, he takes time to ensure every patient feels heard, informed, and confident in their care plan.
In his free time, Dr. Moulin enjoys spending time with his husband Gordon and Lilly, their 13-year-old Old English Sheepdog, travelling, hiking, and experiencing new cultures.
