I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor and EMDR therapist who is deeply committed to creating a safe, affirming, and empowering space for all clients, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique identity, lived experience, and self-expression. I believe that healing happens when individuals feel seen, accepted, and supported without judgment.
As a therapist, I work from an inclusive and intersectional perspective, recognizing how factors such as gender identity, sexual orientation, culture, relationships, and past experiences shape mental health. I am especially passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-worth.
I provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, including support for individuals exploring or questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation, processing internalized stigma or shame, navigating coming out, healing from family or religious trauma, and building confidence in living authentically. I also support clients in same-sex and non-traditional relationships, including communication, attachment dynamics, and relational healing.
My clinical work is heavily informed by EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which I use to help clients process trauma, reduce distress, and build a stronger sense of self. I also integrate evidence-based approaches such as person-centered therapy, parts work, and attachment-focused interventions to meet each client where they are.
I am committed to ongoing education and growth in LGBTQ+ affirming care. This includes continuing education trainings focused on gender-affirming practices, trauma-informed care for marginalized populations, and culturally responsive therapy. I actively strive to stay informed on best practices to ensure my clients receive competent, respectful, and up-to-date care.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space where LGBTQ+ clients feel truly safe to be themselves—where they can explore their identity, process their experiences, and move toward healing, empowerment, and self-acceptance.
