Eren (they/them) is an art therapist at Aurora Counseling Associates who is deeply committed to providing affirming, inclusive, and identity-centered care for LGBTQ+ individuals. As a queer and nonbinary clinician, Eren brings both lived experience and clinical expertise into their work, creating a space where clients can feel seen, respected, and empowered in their identities.

Eren specializes in working with LGBTQ+ children, adolescents, and young adults navigating identity exploration, gender expression, coming out, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma, and minority stress. They integrate creative expression through art therapy with evidence-based approaches to support clients in processing emotions, building resilience, and strengthening self-understanding in ways that feel accessible and authentic.

Their clinical approach is grounded in gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive frameworks. Eren is passionate about supporting transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive clients, including those exploring social and medical transition, and they actively collaborate with families to foster understanding, acceptance, and connection. They also provide support around intersectionality, recognizing how race, culture, neurodiversity, and other identities shape each client’s experience.

Eren has pursued ongoing LGBTQ+ focused education and training, including continuing education in gender-affirming care, queer mental health, and creative arts therapies. They stay engaged with current research and best practices to ensure their work remains responsive and affirming. Their work is rooted in advocacy, empowerment, and the belief that all individuals deserve access to safe, validating mental health care.
