I’m a Black queer woman and licensed clinical psychologist who entered this field with a deep commitment to creating spaces where Black LGBTQ+ individuals can exist fully, openly, and without apology. My work is rooted in the belief that mental health care should not simply help people survive oppressive systems, but also support liberation, self-definition, connection, and radical healing.
I specialize in working with Black LGBTQ+ college students and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity exploration, relationship concerns, family and cultural stress, and major life transitions. I understand how exhausting it can feel to constantly navigate environments where parts of your identity feel misunderstood, minimized, or unsupported. Therapy with me is intended to be a space where you can bring your full self into the room without feeling pressured to filter or explain your experiences.
My professional background includes over seven years of experience in university counseling and mental health settings, where I have provided therapy, outreach, prevention programming, and wellness education for diverse student populations. My research and clinical interests have focused on identity-affirming communication, reducing barriers to mental health care for marginalized communities, and supporting spaces that foster belonging, empowerment, and healing for Black and LGBTQ+ individuals.
