First and foremost, if you are looking for a therapist with lived experience, that’s not me. But if you are looking for someone who is always listening, learning, and actively working to support you, you’re in the right place. I know that my privilege of being perceived as cis and straight means I do not have lived experience in the ways that you do. But what I do have is a deep commitment to growing and showing up in ways that support, affirm, and honor you.
Memberships/Training/Experiences:
• Completed the Queer Competency Certification training from Embody Emerge
• Graduate certificate in gender, women, and sexuality studies.
• Completed “Foundations of Relating with LGBTQIA+ Clients: 201, 301, and 401” with Loving Beyond Understanding.
• I regularly consult with LGBTQ+ therapists and stay engaged in queer-focused books, forums, and research.
• I’ve worked with LGBTQ+ clients for over a decade, helping couples and individuals navigate relationships, communication, and identity.
• I’ve provided several letters for access to gender affirming medical care.
I primarily support LGBTQ+ couples who are struggling with rehashing the same conflict and are looking for ways to have healthier communication and a stronger connection. I also work with individuals in the beginning of the coming out process to support them in navigating their own identities and having a space to “try on” experiences that might work for them.
