As an individual practitioner, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in a commitment to liberation, equity, and the dismantling of systemic oppression within mental health care. I operate from a framework of decolonizing therapy, actively working to unlearn eurocentric, paternalistic medical models and instead creating a collaborative, egalitarian space where clients are the experts of their own lives.
I identify as a white cisgender queer ally, and I bring an intersectional lens to my clinical work. I understand that mental health cannot be separated from the socio-political contexts of our lived experiences. I aim to offer a deeply affirming space where clients feel truly seen, validated, and safe to show up as their whole selves.
In my individual practice, I provide specialized, trauma-informed psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based, non-pathologizing modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am an eclectic therapist, utilizing many different modalities tailored to be explicitly diverse, culturally responsive, and affirming.
My specific LGBTQ+ services include intersectionality-focused therapy, identity exploration & affirmation, stress & trauma recovery, and relational & boundary work. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ clients. The majority of my clients and supervisees align with this community. Areas of expertise include eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, interpersonal conflict, personality disorders, and others.
