
I am Krystine Smith, MA,MT-BC, FAMI, RYT-500. I am a bisexual, cisgender woman, Marine Corps veteran, and strong advocate for accessible, accessible mental health care for all people. My practice Peak Music & Wellness is queer and trans affirming. I welcome, validate, and support people of all colors, races, religions, and identities. I am Board Certified Music Therapist, Fellow by the Association for Music and Imagery, and Registered Yoga Teacher. I specialize in Guided Imagery and Music, a music psychotherapy approach that uses music, guided imagery, and creative processing to deepen consciousness, explore the inner-world, and support you in working towards your individual goals. I completed my Bachelors of Music in Music therapy at the University of Miami and her Masters of Arts in Music Therapy at Saint Mary of the Woods College. I have extensive experience working with queer, trans, immigrant, and veteran communities supporting trauma, substance-use, and other mental health related goals. I have trained in kundalini, vinyasa, and hatha yoga in addition to yoga nidra and mantra. I am a board member of the Valley Chamber Orchestra in Roanoke, VA and a performing member of the Winds of the Blue Ridge, the National LGBTQIA+ flute choir, the Professional Military Flute Ensemble, and the Valley Chamber Orchestra.
