Though I personally identify as a straight cis woman, I have been a very active ally in the LGBTQ+ community since my college years, through participation in clubs on campuses both undergrad and grad school, on to volunteering with HRC including several years on the Seattle Steering Committee, and have always been a fierce advocate for my clients from any marginalized communities. Especially having close gay friends from a religious community during formative years, that need to connect and make others feel seen and that they are not alone drives me.
