I am the owner and massage therapist at Resting Squirrel LLC and have a decade of experience in the profession. I am a trans masculine nonbinary person and have been working with transgender, queer and no gender label folks since the very beginning of my massage training. I am also a systems level thinker and work well with neurodivergent clients and structured thinkers in general. I offer therapeutic, outcomes-based bodywork, grounded in evidence-based techniques such as orthopedic medical massage and additional techniques that I have found to be affective for nervous system-based therapy, such as trauma touch principals and cranial sacral therapies gentle touch and somatic listening techniques.
What I have found is that I am one of only a few transgender therapists in my state that offer openly affirming care to this community. I practice trauma informed body work which I have learned through my own embodied experiences as a trans person navigating the medical and body work fields as well as 50 hours of training in Trauma Touch therapy and close to 75 hours of craniosacral therapy training that I have applied to supporting nervous systems experiencing gender dysphoria. Continual feedback from clients and loved ones over a decade of offering supportive care has kept my work grounded in practical outcomes and professionally compassionate touch.
My work is based on a sense of trust between client and therapist and is led by directed body and nervous system check ins. Clients will be modestly draped at all times, have the ability to end the session at any time, are supported in doing so and are referred to medical interventions when appropriate. I do not offer psychotherapy or talk based processing of trauma. I also do not offer any services with sexual intention or undertones.
I look forward to connecting with anyone interested in receiving safe, client centered body work with their health goals in mind.
Warmly,
Meghan Morrison, LMT

I was truly blown away by my experience with Meghan at Resting Squirrel in Merrimack! From the moment I entered their practice I immediately felt safe, heard, & confident that I was in good hands. The intake process was delightfully thorough and unrushed which is rare to find in most studios. Meghan asked great follow up questions and even offered insight from postural assessment/observation that I have never had a practitioner factor in prior. The massage itself was a treat! A perfect balance of communication on comfort, consent & interactive work for noticeable results and creating space for me to float off into massage bliss. Highly recommend Meghan and Resting Squirrel for those seeking trauma-informed, gender reaffirming, safe space bodywork!
I was very impressed by my massage from Meghan. I had never been to them before, but they came highly recommended from the previous person I was seeing.
Before the massage, we were able to have a quick phone call to discuss my specific needs and challenges. They answered all my questions and we made plans to address the specific challenges.
Upon arriving for my message, I immediately felt safe and comfortable with them and in the space. They were incredibly intuitive and made sure that I was comfortable with the pace at all times. The massage significantly helped the pain I was in at the time.
Meghan demonstrated a significant amount of skill and knowledge. I will definitely be back!
