As an IBCLC and the founder of A Mother’s Village in Bowling Green, KY, I am committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming lactation and infant-feeding care for all families, including LGBTQ+ parents, non-gestational parents, chestfeeding parents, and families formed through donor conception, adoption, or surrogacy. My practice centers the belief that every caregiver deserves respectful, culturally competent support and that feeding is not one-size-fits-all.
My clinical focus includes oral function, tether releases, oral habilitation, and individualized feeding plans for breast/chestfeeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding, and pumping. I have advanced training in functional oral assessments, tethered oral tissue management, pre- and post-frenectomy care, bottle refusal, low milk supply, and infant feeding challenges that often disproportionately impact LGBTQ+ families navigating unique medical, hormonal, and structural barriers to care.
I maintain ongoing education in LGBTQ+ health equity, gender-affirming language, trauma-responsive care, and perinatal mental health, and my approach prioritizes autonomy, informed choice, and the lived experiences of the parents I serve. I regularly integrate principles from ABM protocols, evidence-based infant feeding research, and current best practices for supporting chestfeeding parents, lactating trans women, and parents using induced lactation protocols.
I strive to create a space where families feel safe, affirmed, and seen—a space where names and pronouns are respected, where diverse feeding goals are honored, and where no one has to explain or justify their family structure. My mission is to ensure that LGBTQ+ parents receive equitable, expert, and compassionate clinical care while navigating the early feeding journey.
I welcome all identities and provide care that is explicitly inclusive of nonbinary parents, trans parents, same-sex parents, queer families, poly families, and families using gender-affirming hormones or fertility support. My goal is to support confidence, connection, and thriving for both parent and baby—always with dignity, affirmation, and evidence-based guidance.
