As a queer, non-monogamous immigrant from Jamaica, my lived experience meaningfully shapes how I show up as a therapist. I understand the complexity of navigating identity across culture, family systems, and societal expectations, and I hold that with care in the therapy room. I offer a deeply affirming, sex positive approach that honors expansive relationship structures and the many ways people build love, partnership, and chosen family.
In addition to lived experience, I’ve invested in formal training to ensure my work is clinically grounded and informed. I completed specialized training through the LGBTQ Institute for Family Therapy, which strengthened my work with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families. My training includes gender affirming care, supporting trans and nonbinary clients, and working with queer youth and their families from a systemic and relational lens.
In my practice, I work with queer individuals and partners around identity exploration, communication, attachment, managing minority stress, and building relationships that genuinely align with who they are. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported by someone who both lives this work and has done the professional training to hold it responsibly.
