Hi! I’m Rebecca Street, LMFT. I am a cis bisexual white woman, married to a genderfluid spouse. I am a family and couple therapist who has been working in the Louisville area for the last ten years. My Master’s degree is from Louisville Seminary, a queer and trans affirming institution associated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Through my years working as a therapist, I have worked with and supported queer and transgender folks across the age spectrum, working with clients, their families and/or their partners to navigate difficult life cycle events, both related to gender and sexual identity as well as others. I am a member of WPATH and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy’s Queer and Trans Advocacy Network. I also hold a certificate in Foundations of Gender-Affirming Care: Working Systemically with Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Expansive Clients from the American Association of Marriage and Family therapy. I have experience, both personal and professional of navigating queer identities in rural American, the South and within faith communities, as well as navigating exploration of gender identity, sexuality and expression within an existing relationship. I have had the privilege of working with clients through family reunifications after cutoff because of identity, choosing cutoff as a healthy choice for safety, or navigating the ambiguous in-between.
