I am a Physical Therapist, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a person living with autoimmune disease. I understand how difficult it can be to trust providers, so I strive to inspire confidence in my clients. I came to PT as a “non-traditional student” after a decade of working in community organizing. My clinical focus is on orthopedic, persistent pain, and pelvic floor physical therapy. I treat anything from a sprained ankle to chronic shoulder pain to urinary incontinence, with a focus on trauma-informed care that is body-affirming and gender-affirming. I attended the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference in 2018 and 2019 and from 2020-2022 participated in the Indiana AHEC Scholars program, which included interprofessional training in gender-affirming care. I am APTA Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Level 2 trained, and incorporate my understanding of the pelvic floor into my broader orthopedic practice. With a holistic focus and emphasis on mind-body connection, I collaborate with clients to heal from the traumas of everyday life.
