About Me
I am a licensed mental health counselor (FL), board-certified music therapist, mental health advocate, and all-around creative soul who has been serving in healthcare and mental health settings for over ten years. I believe that healing happens not only through insight and understanding, but also through creativity, connection, and the courage to fully experience our emotional lives.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at The George Washington University, where I continue to deepen my clinical, supervisory, and scholarly understanding of counseling and therapist development. I hold a Master of Music Therapy with an endorsement in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, where I also earned a double major in Psychology and a Performer’s Certificate in Classical Voice.
My clinical experience spans a continuum of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. Over the course of my career, I have worked with neurodivergent youth, individuals experiencing acute psychiatric concerns, families navigating medical crises, and adults facing complex mental health challenges. I previously worked in psycho-oncology at Cleveland Clinic Florida, supporting patients and families impacted by cancer and serious illness. Most recently, I served as a Primary Therapist at Galen Hope, providing treatment for individuals with complex eating disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in humanistic-existential and feminist frameworks, and I strive to embody my core values of justice, curiosity, and openness in every aspect of my work. I view therapy as a collaborative process that honors both personal experience and the broader cultural, relational, and systemic contexts that shape our lives.
I am especially passionate about working with intellectualizers—people who are highly insightful, analytical, and self-aware, yet often find themselves disconnected from their emotions or bodies. While understanding ourselves is important, meaningful growth often requires moving beyond cognitive insight and into felt experience. Through creative, experiential, and embodied approaches, I help clients cultivate a deeper connection to their emotions, inner wisdom, and authentic selves.
My own journey profoundly influences the way I practice. As a teenager, singing and songwriting played pivotal roles in my mental health and healing, offering avenues for expression, meaning-making, and connection when words alone fell short. The healing I experienced through creative processes continues to fuel my passion for supporting others through evidence-based artistic and experiential methods.
Drawing from my training in music therapy, counseling, and creative arts-based practices, I create a therapeutic space that welcomes reflection, exploration, vulnerability, and growth. Whether through conversation, creative expression, mindfulness, or experiential interventions, my goal is to help clients move from simply thinking about their experiences to truly living through them with greater presence, self-compassion, and resilience.
At the heart of my work is a belief that every person possesses an innate capacity for growth, creativity, and healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with those strengths and create a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and fully your own.
Many of my clients are eldest daughters finding their authentic voice and queer folks seeking a queer therapist who can hold authentic space for them. Together, we’ll create a space where curiosity replaces self-judgment, emotions feel more manageable, and growth feels possible.
