I believe in cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship. While maintaining an alliance of mutual trust and respect, we can take risks and tackle issues creatively. Understanding the therapeutic process to be collaborative and deeply dynamic, my work is attuned to your evolving needs. We will work to identify and mirror core strengths and inner resilience, unearthing self-compassion and self-acceptance–in service of both healing and growth. We will uncover insights to help you develop a deeper understanding of your innermost self. Throughout, my approach is warm, genuine, and devoted to providing a non-judgmental, safe space to work through both past and present issues.
I have experience working with anxiety and depression, personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, and relational dynamics. I have training in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy and issues related to ethnic and racial identity, sexuality, and gender identity. My integrative practice includes working from a psychodynamic, relational, and existential perspective. Depending on your needs, we may incorporate cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and mindfulness-based modalities, such as meditation and breathwork.
Prior to receiving my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Modern Culture and Media studies, using critical theory to analyze film, art, and technology. In addition to my clinical work, I have worked as a writer in the art and fashion industries, a director at a start-up, and as a certified yoga teacher.
