As a queer, Indigenous, non-binary, and gender-fluid therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to my work with the LGBTQIA+ community. My personal journey deeply informs my therapeutic approach, allowing me to create a space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and safe to explore the most vulnerable parts of themselves without fear of judgment or invalidation.
I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals across the lifespan, including those navigating identity exploration, gender transition, relationship challenges, trauma, and healing from societal or familial rejection. I am particularly passionate about supporting trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse clients through all stages of self-discovery, medical and social transition, and emotional wellness. I also work with LGBTQIA+ survivors of intimate partner violence and offer care to individuals who may have caused harm and are seeking accountability and growth.
My training includes gender-affirming care, trauma-informed practices, neurodiversity, and culturally responsive therapy. I am actively engaged in ongoing research focused on LGBTQIA+ experiences with intimate partner violence and the impact of systemic oppression on mental health outcomes. I have provided education, workshops, and expert witness services on LGBTQIA+ trauma, relational health, and identity development.
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative, empowering process where clients can bring their whole selves into the room. You don’t have to explain or justify who you are here. You are already valid and you are uniquely you and you are awesome :).
