Being a human can be complicated. And for anyone who has ever been asked, “What are you?” or struggled with feelings of being different or being othered, this adds an additional layer of complexity. Often, this triggers more questions: “Where do I fit in? Do I fit in? Do I need or want to fit in?” As a nonbinary, asexual, and multiracial Asian American who is also highly sensitive, these questions are as familiar to me as my own skin, which does not fit into any one box.
As such, I approach therapy from a multicultural and intersectional perspective: with openness, empathy, and curiosity. As a therapist, I look forward to walking with you as you seek to discover and embrace your own unique identities, become more authentic in your relationships, find meaning in your work, cultivate your chosen community, and/or find deeper spiritual connectedness.
