I recently changed employers and needed to select a new PCP due to insurance changes. I spent some time looking for a provider who specializes in LGBTQI populations and selected Dr. Giffin. I am so glad I did. As a middle-aged HIV+ (for 20 years) gay man he is only one of a handful of medical providers that treated me with the utmost respect and understanding. Beyond that he is incredibly knowledgeable in his field. He recommends testing that no other provider had ever suggested for sexual health concerns. I never feel rushed during appointments.
He is also up-to-date on weight management. As a larger bodied person, I have experienced providers in the past that are fatphobic and often rude about my size. Dr. Giffin is working with me and the weight management program through my employer so that I can receive weight management medications, nutrition coaching, and exercise coaching to address my lifelong battle with weight loss.
He’s just amazing. I have had excellent NPs, MDs, DOs, in the past but none of them are as approachable or caring. I cannot say enough things about Dr. Giffin.
