I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas providing affirming, trauma-informed care for LGBTQ+ adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, caregiving stress, and major life transitions. My practice is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where LGBTQ+ clients can explore identity, relationships, and personal challenges without fear of stigma or misunderstanding.
I provide inclusive therapy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, and questioning individuals. I support clients working through minority stress, identity exploration, coming out, relationship concerns, cultural adjustment, family dynamics, and the emotional impact of discrimination. I recognize the intersection of sexuality, gender identity, culture, and chronic health conditions, and I tailor treatment to honor the whole person.
My clinical approach integrates evidence-based and holistic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Focused approaches. As an EMDR-trained clinician, I specialize in helping clients process trauma safely and effectively.
Supervised by Dr. Arlene Montgomery, PhD, LCSW-S, I am committed to ongoing professional development in LGBTQ+ mental health, culturally responsive care, and trauma-informed practices. My goal is to empower LGBTQ+ clients to feel grounded, connected, and confident as they move toward healing and meaningful change.
