During my undergraduate time, I was an active member of my university LBGTA association, helping to provide queer centered sex education and support to other students.
Today, I am a pelvic floor and whole body physical therapist with Origin Physical Therapy in Portland, where I see adults of all genders for bladder, bowel, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. I received my doctorate in physical therapy from Tennessee State University and a bachelor or arts from Stony Brook University. I especially enjoys employing trauma informed care treating fellow LGBTQIA+ community members, pelvic pain, people with hypermobility, and sexual dysfunction. Frequently utilizing yoga for pelvic pain and myofascial mobilization among other physical therapy interventions, I pride myself in patient-centered collaborative care, health education, and working with patients of various ability levels to achieve their goals.
Recently, I realized I missed my sex education focus in undergrad, and enrolled in Sexual Health Alliance’s Sexuality Counseling Certification program. I bring that sex-positive, kink-aware and all around welcoming attitude to bear in my physical therapy practice.
