I am a commitment to healing mind, body, and spirit (whatever spirit means to you). As such, I provide talk and body-based therapy to the queer community. As a queer person, I found that a lot of therapeutic methods failed to address my lived experience and work to tailor my therapy towards my community. I do this by centering my practice in Anti-Racist, Feminist, and Queer philosophy. This means that topics of oppression are welcome in my therapy room and that I follow your lead on what is important to you.
I have extensive experience with LGBTQ+, Kinky, and non-monogamous individuals. Including, a year of crisis services for the Trevor Project, a year of running a college-level Gender & Sexuality Center, and training in Kink Safety from The Alternative Sexualities Health Research Alliance (TASHRA). In my practice, I work with many who have recently discovered a queer side around coming home to their bodies. I am also trauma-informed and have a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from The Embody Lab and a Trauma-Informed Care certificate from the University of Michigan.
I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Psychology and the University of Michigan with a Masters of Social Work. I hold a Limited License Master of Social Work (LLMSW) granted by the state of Michigan. The modalities that most describe my therapeutic approach include: Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness.
