Milwaukee, Wisconsin Biography: Graduated from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1972, and eventually became PA (second bachelor's degree) in 1981 from GWU. Actively involved as cofounder of the Tulane University Gay Student's Union in 1972-75, and created the National Coalition of Gay STD Services from 1979-88, a predecessor for many of the nation's LGBT health centers that had focused primarily on gonorrhea, syphilis, and hepatitis B services prior to HIV (then known as GRID) in the mid 1970s through the mid 1980s. Serviced as a member of the Wisconsin Gubernatorial Task Force on Lesbian and Gay Issues in the mid-1980s, and also a an award winning cable TV producer focusing on LGBT programs in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Refocused on PA Clinical work in mid 1990s to present. Qualifications: Graduated from George Washington University/District of Columbia as PA in 1981, and subsequently obtained Masters in PA Studies from Univ of Nebraska Medical Center/Omaha. Cofounder of LBGTPA Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and presented profession's first talk on HIV/AIDS in 1982 during the annual PA Conference. Since then, have precepted PA, NP, medical students and family medicine residents in an urban community health center. Currently partially retired, working 0.2FTE providing HIV, family medicine, and transgender health care (including hormone transitioning therapy).
