Nalu Psychiatry provides compassionate, culturally responsive psychiatric care for adults, offering medication management and supportive counseling. My approach combines traditional Hawaiian values with modern, evidence-based psychiatry. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to promoting mental health and wellness through culturally grounded, inclusive care. As a kanaka maoli (Native Hawaiian) and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I bring a holistic perspective that integrates traditional Hawaiian values with contemporary psychiatric treatment. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where individuals feel seen, respected, and supported on their path to healing. My practice is guided by three Hawaiian principles: Nalu (reflection and mindfulness), Aloha (compassion and non-judgment), and Na‘au Pono (right-mindedness and balance). These values shape a collaborative, destigmatizing approach to care. As a queer, nonbinary provider with experience in high-acuity inpatient psychiatric nursing, I founded this private practice to offer what hospital systems often cannot: unhurried connection, affirming care, and personalized treatment plans that center your autonomy and well-being.
