I am a queer woman of color and a licensed therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals across all ages and backgrounds. My lived experience informs my practice and allows me to provide deeply empathetic, culturally responsive, and affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients. I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully seen, heard, and understood, and where they can explore their identities, emotions, and life experiences without needing to shrink or explain themselves.
I provide affirming therapy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and queer clients, as well as those navigating complex intersections of racial identity, sexuality, and gender. I support clients with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, coping skills, family and relationship challenges, life transitions, peer relationships, and experiences related to racial identity. I am committed to intersectional care, recognizing that LGBTQ+ clients of color may face unique challenges, including minority stress, discrimination, and systemic barriers, and I work collaboratively to build resilience, self-compassion, and empowerment.
Clinically, I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My approach emphasizes collaboration, client strengths, and practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges while honoring clients’ full identities and lived experiences.
I am committed to ongoing professional development in LGBTQ+ mental health, cultural competence, and racial justice–affirming practices. My goal is to provide therapy that is affirming, empowering, and tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them feel grounded, understood, and supported in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
