I believe therapy is a journey, and as a therapist, I am honored to be on this journey with you. Sessions with me are a brave space to explore underlying motivations for the challenges in your life. This starts with making sure that the room is a trauma-informed, affirming space for people with historically marginalized and oppressed identities, including, but in no way limited to, those that identify as Black, Indigenous, Latine, LGBTQIA2S+, and others. I like to approach therapy from a strength-based perspective, honoring your lived experience in the session room. Together, I hope to foster a collaborative experience that allows us to explore what healing looks like for you.
I am passionate about working across the lifespan and have extensive experience supporting children, teens, and adults navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal challenges. I have particularly enjoyed working with children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, autism, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and social challenges. I love being able to create a space where families feel understood and empowered throughout the therapeutic journey. When I work with adults, I strive to create a space where clients feel brave exploring both past experiences and present-day patterns while developing practical tools to move toward meaningful change.
I primarily work from psychodynamic and behavior analytic perspective. For me, this means first exploring the root of your emotional and behavioral patterns, including how past experiences, relationships, and environments may continue to shape your present experiences. I am open to borrowing tools from ACT, CBT, and DBT, if we feel like that would be helpful for you. I aim to help clients develop deeper insight and emotional awareness while also building concrete skills and habits that promote safety and well-being. Overall, my sessions are very free-flowing and spontaneous to allow you to fill the room with what feels most important to you.
