I work primarily with LGBTQIA+ clients, namely trans and gender diverse individuals and couples. I’ve helped clients with anxiety, depression, identity development, polyamorous concerns, sexual health and intimacy concerns, kinky identity, self-image and self-esteem, neurodivergent identity and relationships including ASD, ADHD and OCD, self-harm, PTSD and trauma, anger management, disability, social justice and discrimination concerns, parents of queer youth, and multiracial/multicultural couples. I’m always looking to learn more about people and the world, so if these don’t sound like you I’m still excited to get to know you!
I utilize primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Social Justice/ Feminist Theory Counseling, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with pieces here and there from Internal Family Systems Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Bowenian Family Therapy. I use a collaborative style of therapy.
Our community faces discrimination, trauma, and a world that makes us question who we are and what we’re worth. It doesn’t have to be this way. I want to spend my time on this Earth healing the patterns of trauma that move between us, creating new relationships that honor us and help us thrive. You don’t have to do it alone.
I often work with people who are navigating:
– Mood, behavior, and emotion (e.g. anxiety, depression, anger, self-image and self-esteem, self-harm)
– Relationship concerns (e.g. polyamory, sexual health and intimacy, neurodivergence, parenting queer youth)
– Identity development (e.g. gender identity, sexual/romantic orientation, kinky identity)
– Social justice and discrimination concerns (e.g. queer, transgender/gender non-conforming, disability)
– Diverse relationships (e.g. multiracial/multicultural partners, neurodiversity in relationships, polyamory, parenting queer youth
– Trauma and PTSD
