Hi, all! I’m Kate, in IBCLC located in Georgia. I am grateful for the past 18 years spent providing support to parents here in Athens on their journeys through pregnancy, birth, and their postpartum days, months, and years. It’s truly an honor to work with families during this life transition and to witness their growth. I believe the key to empowering parents is in helping them feel heard, respected, and supported in the decisions they make for their families. Birth, feeding, and parenting should be approached with hope, excitement, an open mind…and a sense of humor never hurts.
I feel strongly about ensuring that LGBTQ+ families have access to compassionate lactation care that centers their specific needs and supports their overall health and wellbeing. I support co-nursing families, adopting families, and those wishing to induce lactation.
