I believe everyone deserves access to mental health care where they can feel safe, respected, understood, and accepted for who they are. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in recognizing the unique experiences, identities, relationships, and strengths each person brings.

I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ adults. My work includes supporting clients navigating identity exploration, coming out, gender identity and expression, family and relationship dynamics, discrimination, minority stress, self-acceptance, and significant life transitions.

I’m also committed to supporting individuals in relationships and family structures that may fall outside traditional expectations, including polyamorous relationships, consensual non-monogamy, and other forms of relationship diversity. I approach these experiences without judgment or assumptions, recognizing that healthy relationships and meaningful connections can take many forms.

In addition to LGBTQ+ focused care, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and questions of identity, purpose, and personal growth.

I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS), and have been licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island since 2016. My professional background includes extensive experience in behavioral health and human services, including clinical practice and organizational leadership. My therapeutic approach incorporates person-centered, strengths-based, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-informed practices, tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.

At Sparrow Light Counseling, my goal is to offer a welcoming, inclusive space where clients don’t have to justify their identities, relationships, or lived experiences. I believe meaningful therapeutic relationships are built on trust, authenticity, curiosity, and mutual respect.

I offer in-person counseling in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston and telehealth services throughout Rhode Island. I am currently accepting new clients and participate with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
